重庆青年环保协会，英文全称：The Youth Environment Association of Chongqing简称YEA。是由重庆市热心环境保护的专业技术人员和社会人士组建的公益性环境保护组织，主要在污染防治、环境教育、社区发展、节能减排四个方向开展工作。协会的目标：通过法律服务维护公众环境权利，通过技术创新保护自然生态环境，通过公众参与促进公民社会发展。
协会已开展的工作包括：青国青城----中国大学生环保行动大赛西南赛区项目，重庆市大学生生物多样性保护能力建设建设项目，梁滩河流域污染调研和环保宣传项目，重庆奥林匹克花园社区居民参与式环保项目，有机农业项目，植树减碳项目。
协会现有植树减碳基地1个，有机农业暨植物园基地1个，环境教育基地1个。
协会现有的支持单位包括但不仅限于：重庆市环保局、中国-欧盟生物多样性保护项目、世界自然基金会WWF、全球绿色基金GGF、阿拉善SEE生态协会、达尔问自然求知社、重庆奥林匹克花园置业有限公司。
协会下步计划开展的工作包括：
环境教育：高校环保社团领导力培训，中小学生环境教育课程，影像及环保图书开发，公众宣传，教育基地建设；
社区发展：垃圾分类、社区居民参与式环保活动、绿化废弃物资源化利用；
节能减排：植树减碳基地、节能产品推广、低碳产品消费指南；
生态农业：社区支持农业（CSR），有机蔬菜、花卉种苗、生态工作假期、体验式参与农耕，植物园建设。
污染防治：污染调研、法律援助、公众参与、信息公开；

Introduction of the Youth Environment Association of Chongqing:

The Youth Environment Association of Chongqing, also known as YEA, is a nonprofit environmental organisation, established by both experts in environmental protection and local community members of Chongqing. The organization consists of four key strands: pollution prevention, environmental education, community development and energy conservation. The principal aims of the organization are therefore to: provide legal services to defend public environmental rights; support technological innovation for the protect ion of the ecological environment; and to encourage public participation in order to promote the development of civil society.

Programs already launched by YEA include: “Green Country, Green City”----An environmental action competition between university students in southwestern China; Chongqing University’s Protection of Biodiversity Innovation Project; research into the pollution of Liangtan River and an environmental protection publicity program; encouragement of residents’ participation in Chongqing’s Olympic Garden Community Environmental Program; the Organic Agriculture Project; the Forestation and Carbon-Reduction Project.

The association has three active bases of operations: the tree-planting and carbon-reduction base; the organic agriculture and botanic garden base; and the environmental education base.

YEA also has a great number of supportive sponsors, including but not limited to: Chongqing Environmental Protection Bureau; China-European Union Biodiversity Conservation Project; World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF); Global Green Fund (GGF); Alxa SEE Ecological Association; Darwin Natural Knowledge Union; Chongqing Olympic Garden Property Co. Ltd.

Furthermore the organisation is currently developing the following programs to be launched in the near future:

Environmental Education: leadership training for members of College Environmental Protection societies; an environmental education curriculum for primary and middle schools; development of educational visual tools and books promoting environmental protection; publicity of public information; and the establishment of an education base.

Community Development: separation of household waste; recycling of refuse; participation of community residents in environmental protection activities.
 
Energy Conservation: a tree-planting and carbon-reduction base; promotion of energy- saving products; a consumer guide to ‘low-carbon’ products.

Ecological Agriculture: community supported agriculture (CSA); cultivation of organic vegetables; development of floriculture; ecological project vacations; agricultural participation experiences; and the construction of a botanical garden.

Pollution Prevention: research into pollution prevention; legal aid; encouragement of public participation; and the publication of environmental information.
