Our mission: promote classical and pioneering films and bring them to public, contribute to the local film culture development and help publicizing local indie films;establish a sound platform for film-makers and moviegoers.

发端于2008年春天，UNCUT影像志（前身为大师经典系列放映会）这个立足于电影放映的组织已经将近走过三个年头。从成立初纯粹的经典电影片目回顾展映一路走来，UNCUT影像志一直为培养一种影像的和社会的价值共同体而努力，活动亦渐渐走向多元化、趣味化和常规化。

我们坚信任何一种文化的萌芽和孕育，既离不开我们历史过去的伟大传统，亦离不开因为青春和胆识而带来的冒险精神、创新、求变和实验。过去百年的电影史正像是一部讲述着艺术和人类关于传统的传承，文化的积累，自我的认知以及冒险变革的史诗。

一个城市的文化氛围的积累和文化精神的成长，自然非一朝一夕之事。这一点在国内电影业的发展上亦然。抛开意识形态的偏见，电影是无国界的，它只有好坏之分。UNCUT影像志的宗旨便是给普罗大众传播最好的电影，有趣的电影，艺术的电影，甚至有时候，是需要动脑筋思考的电影。有些电影已经是公认的经典，但我们不满足于“经典”二字，而要尝试探究它背后更深刻的影像意义。有些电影尚未得到广泛传播，但自有其价值，值得我们给予更多关注。有些电影一看再看，但每次都可以带来欢乐、感动、泪水、领悟或者深思。

电影如此美丽，丰富，如此变化多端，无穷无尽，这是我们一直坚持看电影，说电影，思考电影的原因。它改变我们对生活的体察，对世界的认知，促使我们思考人生、社会以及人类的命运。它引起我们对非物质世界的关注，它是这个物质世界里依然能容纳乌托邦的地方。我们因电影而聚，为电影疯狂，为影像着迷。

UNCUT影像志目前由slowdie, mimi, cathy，熊仔侠，未孩师太，冷漠的有趣，阿布，纯品大钟楼，蓝翼，BSK,零羊组织。它的前身是大师经典放映会，最初的成立者为连城。2009年3月大师经典放映会改组，并更名为UNCUT影像志，继续以主题开展放映活动至今。

UNCUT Times Cinemathque is an non-profit oriented organization, featuring in movie screening for public, which can be dated back to the spring of 2008. Our aim is to promote worldwide classical films in China and bring them to public. Through our well-organized screening, group discussion and interaction with moviegoers, we aim to cultivate our collective consciousness on cinema treasures and improve the appreciation capacity of masterpieces, as well as bringing new life and insights into cinema. We believe our professionalism will turn UNCUT into a social enterprise in the coming future.

We also believe that the birth and cultivation of film culture, is no more but by standing on the shoulders of our great tradition and by continuous learning. We are aware that there are no short-cuts in emerging a culture. So we provoke critical thinking, in terms of linking cinema with our history, society and even philosophy. We cherish the innovative and experimental spirit of cinema, the wit, the richness and profound human emotions that cinema have brought to us. And we certainly need to share them with poeple around us.

We are expecting, through our endeavor to promote the so-called great cinemathque works, to enhance our understanding on human beings, to provoke pluralism and tolerrance on artistic creativity. We also bear the mission of the emergence of good citizenship, through which a great society should be built on.

Fascinated by cinema, we are gethering together. We came across with each other here; we made friends here; we share our joy, our sadness, our thoughts, our confusion. We are growing by exploring the vision and thoughts in these great films and on those directors. And we surely will carry on by doing more!

UNCUT TIMES are currently organized by slowdie, weihai shitai, cathy, mimi, xiongzi xia, lengmo de youqu zhong lin and abu. The initial name is Classical Films Screening Club, co-founded by lian cheng and for-ever. UNCUT was found after the restructure of the club and started screening movies from March 2009 to now.
