Curry & Coco, an inseparable pair since childhood, began making music since 2006 from their hometown of Lille in Northern France, where they are commonly referred to looking like "Croatian tennis players circa 1973." Music-wise, they're reviving the post-punk wave circa late 1970s with the introduction of slaying synths and grinding beats. What do they sound like? With influences from The Human League, Joy Division and The Droids, they are the anti-heroes of French electronic music, running head-first against the wave of the 'popular' sounds we commonly attribute to that region.
They bring what we don't know we crave, real authentic gritty music, a backlash against the almost boring perfection of modern music production. With Pliem on the drums and Przybylski on vintage analogue synthesizers + vocals, they bring along with them an array of old-school aural ammunition. Imagine disco infused with new-wave flavours of electronic pop, a whole lotta kitsch and even more fun to hear.
