About '8 Songs For Chinese Girls' ... why this title?
1.One of his last work in Europe was his book titled "3 GIRLS" (2007).

In this book, he give us his thoughts about women and music. For him there's an intimate relation between women and his work.
"Candy sweet girls, skin from head to toes, pink glimering insides, stomachs like oceans. They propel themselves through water like a spitting outboard motor. I wish I could have watched her growing up. What a beautiful she must have been. Her black hair is an omen. I am as pink as the bottom of her feet. I'm nothing more than a skin, a shadow of a skin."
"I've made a strong prison for myself. I will not participate in the outside world. I will dip in and out of my music alone".
2.There are 2 parts inside everyone, a male one & a female one, this is the theory of DAO, yin & yang.
The creative energy comes from the female part. That's why his voice is melancolic.
So, these songs are like scares he gives to feminine part of chinese people (so not only for 'chinese girls'), scares about condition of men.
3.In a different way this title is a provocation.
