Call for Intern & Co-workers
METROSHAPES is a Beijing based design studio and platform interfacing to other disciplines.
METROSHAPES is the sister platform of METROWAVES promoting electronic music in China.
METROWAVES and METROSHAPES are looking for extraordinary qualified and self-motivated interns and co-workers with a high interest for the full bandwidth of music and design. We are looking for artistic and very skilled minds, fluent in English and Chinese, to work with us on exceptional projects.
1. Work area of project management
We offer a chance to improve your ability in organization and communication.
Basics (Intern):
- Assistance for program research, data collection, editing, budgeting and translation
- Assistance to curate, coordinate, promote and execute the whole flow of an event
- Assistance to communicate with artists and organizations
- Assistance to manage and execute the schedule for a visiting artist
Qualifications:
- You should be an university student, graduate or experienced
- You should be living in Beijing and be fluent in chinese and english
- You should be communicative and working team & result-oriented
- You should be capable to operate a Mac system and the related standard software
- You should fully enjoy what you're doing
Advantages:
- Experience in cultural project management
- Experience in translation and editing
2. Work area of Design conception and design visualizations in 3D
We offer a chance to improve your ability in design development and execution.
Basics (intern level):
- Illustrator, Photoshop & more of the tool-kit
- 3D from renderings to models and plans
Basics (co-worker level):
- 3D Software for furniture and interior
- 3D and plan software for architecture (Rhino, AutoCad etc.)
- Integration of animation design (clips) into 3D models
Qualifications:
- You should be an university student, graduate or experienced
- You should be living in Beijing and be fluent in chinese and english
- You should be communicative and working team & result-oriented
- You should be capable to operate a Mac and PC systems an the specified software
- You should fully enjoy what you're doing
Advantages:
- Computational design skills
- Animation design skills
- Graphic design skills

About METROWAVES
METROWAVES’ origin is Beijing. The City’s musical scene in diverse and vivid but for parts remains hidden. METROWAVES aims to support the presence of the local electronic music scene and to be part of its dynamic development. METROWAVES focuses on the gathering of electronic music producers with their audience in new formats. The contributions of the invited artists do not follow the fixed concert scheme. The free choice of performance format allows to create the atmosphere of an open encounter between the musicians and the audience. METROWAVES initiates the exchange and encounters with artists from other genres, cities and parts of the world. METROWAVES’ encounters are multidirectional. METROWAVES’s outputs are as diverse as their artistic protagonists.
About METROSHAPES
METROSHAPES is a Beijing based design studio and platform interfacing to other disciplines. The studio offers design solutions from concept to execution in variable scale for a broad range of metropolitan environments, focusing on spatial transformation and visual design for architecture. The platform work emphasis on the promotion of ideas & projects related to design.
