2]I also think that Mr. JIN Yong (Louis Cha Leung Yung) is a romantic writer, because he is able to show all the beauty of martial arts in his books. What is romanticism? It is the art of showing that everything we do with elegance and enthusiasm. There is an old saying in the West: "War and love have the same rules". Unfortunately I still did not have a chance to read much about Mr. Yong, but I know his works, and I am an admirer waiting for a good translation to be able to really dive deep in his texts.
我还下载了一些,其中“I will be back”和“Only you”是我的最爱。
3] I discovered Nichkun in Twitter. And through Nichkun I discovered his band, 2PM. I watched several clippings in Youtube, and I felt in love with their songs. I downloaded some of them, being my favorites "I will be back" and "Only you". Since then, Nichkun and I have been in constant contact, and I almost travelled to France to watch 2PM concert. They are very talented musicians, and they speak to my heart. That said, I am not familiar with Kunthoria.
4] I am not looking for balance in my life. I use nature as an example, there is always confrontation: winter x summer, night x day, wind x rocks, etc. If you look a star, it is always exploding, and that's why its light is so beautiful. So, instead of looking for balance, I tend to accept contradictions as part of my life, and I learned how to live with them.
5] I will take the first step, listening more to my intuition that to my reason. If my steps are wrong, I can always correct them - because I am moving ahead. In fact, I used to read regularly the 36 Chinese stratagems and they are very useful in helping me to correct my trajectory.
6] I am going to quote a dialogue between the alchemist and the shepperd boy, in my book "The alchemist"
“Why do we have to listen to our hearts?” the boy asked, when they had made camp that day.
“Because, wherever your heart is, that is where you’ll find your treasure.”
“But my heart is agitated,” the boy said. “It has its dreams, it gets emotional, and it’s become passionate over a woman of the desert. It asks things of me, and it keeps me from sleeping many nights, when I’m thinking about her.”
“Well, that’s good. Your heart is alive. Keep listening to what it has to say.”
“My heart is a traitor,” the boy said to the alchemist, when they had paused to rest the horses. “It doesn’t want me to go on.”
“That makes sense. Naturally it’s afraid that, in pursuing your dream, you might lose everything you’ve won.”
“Well, then, why should I listen to my heart?”
“Because you will never again be able to keep it quiet. ”
“You mean I should listen, even if it’s treasonous?”
“Treason is a blow that comes unexpectedly. If you know your heart well, it will never be able to do that to you. Because you’ll know its dreams and wishes, and will know how to deal with them.
“My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer,” the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky.
“Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams,
7] for me, there is only one golden rule: don't do to your neighbor what you don't want your neighbor doing to you. If you follow this rule, you will be able to distinguish what is right and what is wrong. There are no ultimate truths, but there is a society that we live in, and we must respect our community the way that we want to be respected.
8] If you try to please everybody, everybody will be happy, except you. So control your temper and don't hit people, but understand that you can't please everybody.
9 ] I am always struggling with myself, but I am very optimistic in this sense. People are realizing more and more that happiness is freedom, and freedom is to be able to “travel light”, not possessing a lot of things, because at the end of the day, the things start to possess you. I remember that I considered buying a castle here in France: I went to see some. One day I realized that if I buy a castle, I cannot think about anything but taking care of it. Therefore, I bought a small watermill, so to keep it is very easy, and I have time to go to the mountains, to walk, do spend my life in the way that I would like. In short: the less you have to keep, the more you have in freedom. Three times I was locked in an asylum when I was a teenager (which I describe in my book Veronika decides to die), because I felt useless and I stop acting.
So my only suggestion to you is: start listening to your heart, and spot the moment that you lost this important connection with yourself. Then start taking the risks of accepting yourself as you are, and move on. Be happy with your contradictions.
10] I will sit and wait. This feeling will go away sooner or later. Instead of trying to "occupy” my time to make myself believe that I am useful, I will be patient. If I can't see the road ahead, it is because the dust in my eyes. While I wait, the wind or the rain will clean this dust, and I will be able to walk again.
